Maren Griswold

My name is Maren Griswold, and with me is my daughter Carys and son Wyatt. Originally from Minnesota, I moved to Bozeman in 1995 to go to college, and graduated from Montana State University in 2000.

I have had over 20 years of experience caring for children and being a caregiver for the disabled.  Along with Storybook, I also have a woodcarving and metalworking business TWISTED ROOT DESIGN that keeps me busy.

Storybook is my labor of love, and I am always looking for ways to improve on it for your children to get the best possible experience.  I love being able to spend time with all the children here at Story Book, and this also gave me the chance to be with my own children as they grew up!

Rachel Chapo

Co-director/Lead Toddler Teacher
Rachel moved to Montana from Michigan in November of 2007. She graduated from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology.
Her two boys, now 8 and 5, both attended Storybook Preschool & Daycare; the oldest started in January of 2008. Rachel would have not had it any other way. She firmly feels Storybook is the BEST preschool and daycare in Bozeman and is thrilled to now be a part of the teachers and caregivers that have treated her family so well. A long time Detroit sports fan, you will often see her in her favorite teams shirts, both at the school and around town.
One of her favorite things about Montana is the diversity of wildlife and how you can see some of nature's most amazing creatures at any given moment. Also a fan of children and pets, she is excited to spend time with the animals and to learn so much from the little ones who make Storybook the special place it is.

Kailee Susens

Early Childhood Teacher
I am friendly and easygoing, live in Bozeman but am originally from Nebraska.  I am hoping and planning to be a photographer/Mom in the future.I love the outdoors, camping, hiking, dirt biking, etc.  I also love water sports such as wake boarding, skiing, tubing, and slalom.  I like animals and have a horse named Selika.  I hope to have a little farm in the future.

I have two little siblings whom I love and adore.  I have worked with other children at VBS's and Camps, as well as some babysitting.  I love how little kids always seem to love you.  They always smile and say hi or want to be around you, and it always puts me in a good mood.

My favorite childhood memory is riding my horse Selika in the big open pastures of Nebraska.

Abigail Tomlinson

Lead Preschool Teacher
My name is Abi, I was born here in Bozeman and have lived in Montana my whole life.   I am the second oldest of four girls.  I was home schooled all the way through high school before deciding to pursue a college degree.  I loved being home schooled because I am pretty independent, and it gave me a lot of freedom to get a babysitting job!  In the future, I h ope to continue to work with children and families, and start a family of my own someday.

I have been babysitting and nannying since I was 12 years old.  I worked as a the kids coordinator for Fresh Life Church, and have led preschool groups for VBS and AWANA.  I have subbed for a couple of daycares and completed internships while in college.  I love with working with kids because it is simultaneously the most challenging and rewarding thing I have ever done, and I love how kids are always full of excitement and wonder.

My favorite childhood memories are playing with my three sisters, reading books with my dad, coloring with my mom, sleep-overs at my grandparents, snuggling my cat Gracie, and playing in the snow.
My hobbies are:reading, writing, hanging out with family, watching/playing sports, being outside and playing with my 4 year old niece!

Ashley Morgan

Early Childhood Teacher
Ashley grew up in Belgrade, MT, and is currently a sophomoreat Montana State University studying Elementary Education with a minor in K-12 reading.  She hopes to be a teacher when she graduates.

She has had a background with children with nannying and she was also the Gallatin Valley Farm to School educator.  She loves working with children because of how rewarding it is to form a bond with them, and be able to watch them grow.

Some of Ashley's favorite childhood memories are camping and fishing at Cliff Lake with her family.

Lauren Henry

Early Childhood Teacher
Hi!  I'm Lauren, I am originally from Seattle , but have been living in Bozeman for about a year.  I am a student and Montana State University and plan on getting a degree in elementary education.  In my free time, I love spending time with my dogs Wallace and Boom.  I also love spending time outdoors and doing arts and crafts.

I have been babysitting since I was 10 years old, and spent last summer working with young children as an infant teacher.  One of the things I love about working with children is watching their confidence grow as they gain mastery and learn new things.

One of my favorite childhood memories from my child hood was adopting Kirby, our goldendoodle, and bringing him home.  I also loved participating in theater, and acting in plays

Sierra Susens

Early Childhood Substitute Teacher
Hi! My name is Sierra and I moved to Montana 5 years ago. I am the oldest of 4 siblings with my youngest sibling being 4 years old. I have enjoyed seeing my younger siblings grow up and being able to have sweet little moments with them.  From a young age I loved being with kids and doing babysitting when I could. Some of my favorite hobbies include hiking in nature, reading, and playing the piano. I went to high school at Mount Ellis Academy in Bozeman and I now study at Walla Walla University in Washington during the school year. I am pursuing a career in Elementary Education with a SPED minor. I just came back from a year of volunteer mission work in the Marshall Islands where I was a preschool teacher to 18 beautiful children. I love how sweet kids are and the kindheartedness that little kids show, as well as how willing they are to love. I am super excited to be able to work at Storybook and be around the little ones

Sophia Hallengrogg

Assistant Early Childhood Teacher
I was born in California, but moved soon after to Montana where I have lived ever since.  I do a little bit of babysitting outside of work.  My favorite book is 'Name of the Wind' which I highly recommend reading.

I have a background babysitting ages 1 1/2 year old to 7 year old.  I love the work I do with kids because I think its a truly amazing thing to have some small part in helping someone grow and learn about the new world that they have found themselves in.  Plus it's always nice to know you are helping a parent to have some much needed free time.

My favorite childhood memories are the ones about the people who made me who I am today, whether that be babysitters, parents or friends the memories I gained just from learning from them are by far the best.

Rachel grew up down the street in Belgrade, and after high school went to the Healthworks Institute in Bozeman, to receive her Esthetics License.

Rachel worked as a childcare provider at a fitness center in Belgrade, and has had years of watching children.  She has also helped out in almost every avenue at her family run business Mountain Lodge View and Suites where she has worked as management, running the front desk, hiring, ordering etc.

Tiffany Miller

Early Childhood Substitute Teacher

Tiffany here. I grew up on the East coast and moved to Montana in 2012. I graduated from MSU in 2016 with a bachelor?s degree in Teaching: K-8. While getting my undergrad degree, I worked at Storybook part time. After I graduated, I moved to Taiwan to teach English as a second language. I taught first and second grade there for two years and loved (almost) every second of it. However, Bozeman was calling me back?so, I decided to go back to school to get my masters in curriculum and instruction. Currently, I am going to school part time, teaching classes as a graduate assistant, and work at the daycare off-and-on. My whole life I have been passionate about positively impacting those around me, especially children. When I am not teaching you can find me making crafts (my business: Wild by Design), hitting the slopes, cooking food, or hanging with awesome people! "Every child is a different kind of flower, and all together, they make this world a beautiful garden." I love giggling, dancing, playing, and hanging out with your little one(s).
