Maren Griswold

Owner/Preschool Lead Teacher

My name is Maren Griswold, and with me is my daughter Carys and son Wyatt. Originally from Minnesota, I moved to Bozeman in 1995 to go to college, and graduated from Montana State University in 2000.

I have had over 20 years of experience caring for children and being a caregiver for the disabled.  Along with Storybook, I also have a woodcarving and metalworking business TWISTED ROOT DESIGN that keeps me busy.

Storybook is my labor of love, and I am always looking for ways to improve on it for your children to get the best possible experience.  I love being able to spend time with all the children here at Story Book, and this also gave me the chance to be with my own children as they grew up!

Rachel Chapo

Co-director/Lead Toddler Teacher
Rachel moved to Montana from Michigan in November of 2007. She graduated from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology.
Her two boys, now 8 and 5, both attended Storybook Preschool & Daycare; the oldest started in January of 2008. Rachel would have not had it any other way. She firmly feels Storybook is the BEST preschool and daycare in Bozeman and is thrilled to now be a part of the teachers and caregivers that have treated her family so well. A long time Detroit sports fan, you will often see her in her favorite teams shirts, both at the school and around town.
One of her favorite things about Montana is the diversity of wildlife and how you can see some of nature's most amazing creatures at any given moment. Also a fan of children and pets, she is excited to spend time with the animals and to learn so much from the little ones who make Storybook the special place it is.

Katherine "Kat" Soper

Early Childhood Teacher
Hi there! I'm a 25-year-old MSU student studying Psychology and Women and Gender Studies, planning on going to grad school for Developmental Psych. I grew up in Helena, MT, as a big sis/built-in babysitter and have always loved spending time with kids. I also work as a Family Support Advocate for Youth Dynamics, and volunteer
weekly at Haven (a domestic violence shelter) doing kids' groups and teaching music classes.

In my free time I write and play music (ukulele, guitar, piano, and lots of singing--working on banjo!). I also love exploring all of the natural beauty Montana has to offer, making art, and hope to be a published author one day. My fondest childhood memory is probably jamming around the campfire with my sister and parents during our family's yearly week long float down the Yellowstone.

I am constantly amazed by the boundless cleverness, humor, and heart exhibited by little ones, and I am definitely of the opinion that the kids at Storybook are the best of the best. I'm so happy and excited to be joining the Storybook team; it really is a uniquely wonderful and enormously positive environment in which for the tykes to learn and grow. :)

Sierra Susens

Early Childhood Substitute Teacher
Hi! My name is Sierra and I moved to Montana 5 years ago. I am the oldest of 4 siblings with my youngest sibling being 4 years old. I have enjoyed seeing my younger siblings grow up and being able to have sweet little moments with them.  From a young age I loved being with kids and doing babysitting when I could. Some of my favorite hobbies include hiking in nature, reading, and playing the piano. I went to high school at Mount Ellis Academy in Bozeman and I now study at Walla Walla University in Washington during the school year. I am pursuing a career in Elementary Education with a SPED minor. I just came back from a year of volunteer mission work in the Marshall Islands where I was a preschool teacher to 18 beautiful children. I love how sweet kids are and the kindheartedness that little kids show, as well as how willing they are to love. I am super excited to be able to work at Storybook and be around the little ones

Rachel Ticknor

Early Childhood Substitute Teacher

Rachel grew up down the street in Belgrade, and after high school went to the Healthworks Institute in Bozeman, to receive her Esthetics License.

Rachel worked as a childcare provider at a fitness center in Belgrade, and has had years of watching children.  She has also helped out in almost every avenue at her family run business Mountain Lodge View and Suites where she has worked as management, running the front desk, hiring, ordering etc.

She came to Storybook because of her love for children, and will be working here, Mountain View Lodge as well as running her own business Rain Skin Care.

Tiffany Miller

Early Childhood Substitute Teacher

Tiffany here. I grew up on the East coast and moved to Montana in 2012. I graduated from MSU in 2016 with a bachelor?s degree in Teaching: K-8. While getting my undergrad degree, I worked at Storybook part time. After I graduated, I moved to Taiwan to teach English as a second language. I taught first and second grade there for two years and loved (almost) every second of it. However, Bozeman was calling me back?so, I decided to go back to school to get my masters in curriculum and instruction. Currently, I am going to school part time, teaching classes as a graduate assistant, and work at the daycare off-and-on. My whole life I have been passionate about positively impacting those around me, especially children. When I am not teaching you can find me making crafts (my business: Wild by Design), hitting the slopes, cooking food, or hanging with awesome people! "Every child is a different kind of flower, and all together, they make this world a beautiful garden." I love giggling, dancing, playing, and hanging out with your little one(s).
